Kinross curling rink’s a four-sheet ice rink solely dedicated to the sport, and is home to more than 30 curling clubs.

Backstage at The Green Hotel
With everything from quality tribute acts, to musicians who’ve played with the likes of the Stones and Springsteen, Backstage at The Green host year-round performances.
They specialise in intimate gigs in the 130-capacity venue, and it’s home to a massive collection of rock memorabilia too.

If adrenaline is more your thing, then you have to get down to Knockhill Racing Circuit. It’s just 12 miles from our front door, and home to a host of motorsport events, as well as hands on experiences for you to try.
Whether you love classic cars, fast bikes or you’d like to take your own vehicle on the track, Knockhill’s the place to race.
The full trail is 21km, but if that seems a bit much, there are smaller sections you can take on with ease. You’ll get to see stunning views of the loch and its island, with the rolling hills as the background.
The path is level and suitable for everyone, including wheelchair users.
Unleash your inner Peter Pan and give flying a go at the Scottish Gliding Centre. It’s conveniently placed directly opposite us at the other side of Loch Leven.
Take an exhilarating ride with the gliding centre on a trial flight, or book in on one of their courses and learn to fly for yourself.
Whether you’re looking to start up a new hobby, take on a horse riding hack or just a little Shetland pony ride for the wee ones, Crieff Hydro Riding Centre have riding experiences to suit everyone.
With 900 acres to explore and their own purpose built riding centre, it’s a great spot to ride, and it’s only 45 minutes from our front door.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, or a pro in pigeon catching, Cluny Clays is a great day out. Just 13 miles from us, they specialise in clay pigeon shooting, and they’ve got air rifle and archery experiences available too.
Fishing on Loch Leven
Fishing in a National Nature Reserve, using boats that are over one hundred years old, on a loch that’s the only home of the original brown trout. Fishing on Loch Leven is a truly unique experience.
We’ve got a fleet of 20 vessels, and there’s no limit to how many fish you can catch. They’re a rather delicious fish, but if you’re in it for the sport and have no plans to eat them, we do ask that you release them after you catch them.
The fishing season lasts from April to early October. If you’d like to book yourself a boat, you can do just that on the Loch Leven Fisheries website.
Perthshire is home to some of the best watersport experiences that Scotland has to offer. You can tackle white water rafting, canyoning, tubing and all sorts of water adventures under an hour’s drive from our front door.

The Shop at The Green Hotel
Hop over the road to our sister venue, The Green Hotel, and enjoy some retail therapy.
